Who I am

Mostly an immunologist, fascinated by the complexity of the immune system and profoundly enjoying coding, data analysis and data visualisation.

More specifically, I obtained my PhD in immunology in 2011 at Paris 6 university. My PhD was about the role of the Th17 response in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). After my PhD, I did a first post-doc in Germany in the European consortium SysmedIBD where I studied the role of NF-κB oscillations in IBD and where I performed a screening of micro-RNAs in feces from IBD patients. After that I came back to France, where I used mass cytometry (see the french version of the Wikipedia article I wrote about this technique) to characterize circulating immune cells in a rare autoimmune disease. I used the programming language Python to perform analyses and visualization of these high-dimensionality data.

I am currently a post-doctoral scientist in the pharmaceutical company Servier where I have the privilege to do both immunology and data science to identify new potential drugs in autoimmune diseases.

Skills

Analysis of scientific publications (more to come)

This project consists in a thorough analysis of PubMed articles

This project would not exist without the greatest mathematician and computer scientist I know, my older brother Olivier Verdier.
